A major nightclub fire occurred at 1:00 a.m. ICT on 5 August 2022 at Mountain B, a nightclub situated on Sukhumvit Road in the Phlu Ta Luang sub-district of Sattahip District, Chonburi. The fire resulted in 13 fatalities at the scene. Of the 38 individuals who sustained injuries, seven later died in hospital, increasing the death toll to 20. In October 2022, a further victim succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident, bringing the total number of deaths associated with the fire to 25.

At the time of the incident, the venue was reportedly nearing closing time and was occupied by an estimated 50 to 100 patrons. Musical performances were being provided by DJs and a live band popular with local audiences. Evidence provided by a performer who had previously worked at the club indicated that the premises had only a single entrance and exit available to patrons at the front of the building. The rear access point, which was used by musicians, was reportedly locked during performances. These conditions were widely cited as having significantly impeded evacuation and contributed to the high number of fatalities.
