The Daegu Gosonggwan fire was an arson attack at a nightclub in Daegu, South Korea, on February 26, 1991, that killed 16 people and injured 13 others. The fire was deliberately set by a rejected customer using six liters of gasoline. The incident is one of several major fire disasters that prompted significant safety standard improvements in South Korea over the following years.
