Four dead in rally car race horror as footage shows vehicle crash into fans
A tragedy has unfolded after four people were killed with several others injured following a participant in a rally car losing control and driving into spectators

A statement from the MNASZ, the Hungarian motorsport federation, read: “On the second day of the 11th Esztergom-Nyerges Rally, on the Lábatlan – Bajna stage, the organizers of the race canceled the race due to an unfortunate accident.

According to a statement from the Komárom-Esztergom County Police Headquarters, the vehicle participating in the rally drifted off the road between Lábatlan and Bajót for an unknown reason. According to the current information, four people were killed and seven were injured, they wrote on the police website.

Shinozuka’s driving career will be forever remembered for its association with Mitsubishi. The Toyko native joined the Japanese brand in 1971, but not as a driver. Domestic success quickly followed, as did a trip to Kenya for his first WRC event in 1976, where he drove a Mitsubishi Lancer on the grueling Safari Rally.
