Authorities said Sunday that at least 36 pilgrims had been killed in a stampede at a Muslim shrine in the central province of Punjab.
The death toll in Saturday night’s stampede at a pilgrim centre at Pakpattan in Pakistan’ eastern Punjab province has risen to forty, official sources in Islamabad said.
