Members Area

We have introduced a new feature and area to the website, a members area. This is to allow the sharing of more detailed information and protect the casual browser from sensitive topics or graphic content.

We hope that this will make the website safer to use by everyone.

The members page is separated into 4 separate areas. Free membership for the casual user, premium membership for those interested in leaning more in-depth, graduate membership aimed at assisting students and graduate membership for members that have achieved formal qualification in crowd safety or equivalent industry based knowledge.

Membership Areas

Free

We have taken the decision to protect some of our more graphic content in a members area. This is free for anyone to join and is monitored by our admin.

As well as a dedicated page, you will find as yo go through the website that some pages have been protected.

Premium

Premium does not mean you pay. This is a free membership, but aimed at those that are wishing to learn more about providing safe environments for people.

This will provide a higher level of access and resource.

Undergraduate

An area designed to assist those going though studies in the various fields of keeping people safe.

We will be taking the lead from lectures and program leads on cornerstone content in the fields of crowd safety, emergency management, disaster management and event management.

Graduate

An area for those that have achieved formal qualification in crowd safety, emergency management, disaster management, event management (focusing on safety) or equivalent industry based knowledge.

A place to share and discuss with like minded professionals.

Practice makes perfect

This is a new venture for us at Working With Crowds, a journey that we will learn from along the way; what works, what can be improved on and what should have been left on the drawing board.

It will not be perfect, but its a start and we will improve as we go.

Community Sharing

Our key objective at Working With Crowds has been to share as much as we can to assist in the learning and development of safety, with a focus on crowded places.

We hope that these areas will assist to continuing community sharing and as an industry we can work together to create safe and secure environments.

How to become a member

First thing we wish to point out – THIS IS FREE

At no point will you be asked by anyone at Working With Crowds to pay for membership or content.

The process could not be easier – head over to Join Us, or click on the links in the buttons on this post. Follow the instructions and that’s it. Everyone starts with a FREE membership.

Wanting to increase to Premium Membership, just get in touch and ask. Why are we doing this? Well, we are looking for more of a community feel and this is to help get the interaction moving along.

Are you looking to become an undergraduate member, that is no problem. Get in touch with us from your college or university email address. Let us know who you are, where you are and what you are studying. This way we can help provide the correct content for this section. We will post Abstracts from Key learning, allowing you to access the full content through your library.

Graduate membership is available  for  those that have achieved formal qualification in crowd safety, emergency management, disaster management, event management (focusing on safety) or equivalent industry based knowledge. Within this section we will also be providing a Forum to assist in discussion on relevant topics with like minded people.
